A hardy contingent of men and youth from Friendship traveled to the lake resort area of Vermilion to assist the C&MA ministry of 90-year-old Beulah Beach Camp, Retreat & Conference Center on a cold, windy, snowy, muddy day in March 2011.
Under the leadership of Elder David Cline and FAC member Rick Frecka, this demolition crew had the privilege of tearing down three small cabins that had outlived their usefulness. The junior high guys demonstrated their brute strength and skill at swinging 12-pound sledgehammers to get their work done, and enjoyed watching a backhoe tackle the rest.
One team in particular managed to disassemble an entire cabin by hand and load it into a dumpster before lunchtime! All involved found the day to be a great time, both of serving, and for building deeper friendships among the guys. "I would recommend the opportunity to serve together as men in work projects to anyone interested," said Rick. "Rest assured, if you get involved and volunteer, you will have a great time, and you will sleep very well at the end of the day!"

Our New Church Building Project |
We, at Friendship Alliance Church, are excited about the construction of our first church building. We are grateful to the Kenston School administration for allowing us to use the Auburn Elementary School since June 2004.
In 1997, Friendship Alliance Church voted to purchase just over 10 acres of property for the purpose of building a new church. The property is located on the west side of Ravenna Road (State Route 44) just north of Crackle Road. The church construction project started in August 2007.

Our first service was on Sunday, December 7, 2008. Click here for a map to our church. |
