Youth Pastor Rob James,
wife Rene and children
A letter from Pastor Rob James:

Our Philosophy: Our philosophy is to develop a vehicle that is culturally relevant and Biblically-based through which every adolescenct has a chance to hear and respond to the Gospel and to grow in God's grace.

As we continue to hold on to the foundation of our ministry and adapt to the needs of our students, we find God’s Word still relevant for today.  Each student is designed by God as unique, and requires us to facilitate programs that will provide rich environments that exposes them to their Creator; environments that use the truth of God in a relevant way that draws each of them to Himself.  Sometimes it requires a church type setting, sometime it requires home style setting, and sometimes it requires the hills of southern Ohio to provide that environment.  We are aware of the different levels that a student may be at in his/her spiritual journey so an amount of diversity is required; that is why we attempt to provide a variety of programs for all levels of teenagers.  I encourage you to checkout What We Are Doing.

To the Parent:  We are here to build up your family by helping teens grow the way God intended. One of my greatest goals in teaching is to provide not only answers, but also principles that can be used for a lifetime.  Answers only grant immediate solutions, principles provide guidance and solutions for their entire life.  We rely heavily on God’s Word as the standard, believing that it includes the only truth.  There are seven areas we cover in the youth group: Theology, Church, Ministry, Outreach, Family, Life, and Doctrine.  In teaching in these areas, we believe an individual can develop his/her potential the way God intended.  We measure growth by the 5C’s: Conversion, Churched, Craving the Word, Compassion for the Loss, and Consecration, which enables use to have a tangible way to measure that spiritual growth.  In an average week your teen has the chance to participate in 2-3 programs: Sunday School, Sunday night, Weekly Biblical discussions, each tailored to meet the needs of the individual.  Throughout the year, there are programs provided as well that enhances the lessons the Bible teaches.  Our goal is to help teens spiritually mature, hopefully we are reinforcing what is being taught and learned at home. We are also trying to equip the spiritually mature to minister to their families, their peers, and the many that come into their lives daily.  I can not emphasize enough the role of the parent as the primary leader and model for their own children.  Remember that it is not our job to be perfect, just to provide the environment in which to point them to the One who is perfect.
